With its application already downloaded 1.3 million times on iPhone®, iPad®, BlackBerry, Android and Android tablets, the Caisse d’Epargne is now extending access to its banking services to devices running Windows Phone. This application is available free of charge from Windows Phone Marketplace.

The design for the functional and user-experience aspects in addition to the development of the application were awarded to Backelite, a leading agency in France which has developed recognised know-how in designing mobile services for the banking sector and particularly for the BPCE Group.

Drawing upon its extensive experience with mobile solutions, the Caisse d’Epargne is launching its Windows Phone banking application. The launch of this application is in line with the bank’s strategy of making its applications available to all of its private and business customers regardless of their mobile equipment.

A new feature with the application: a customised welcome screen

Just like all mobile solutions from the Caisse d’Epargne, this application was specially developed to make full use of all the possibilities available from Windows Phones, including their outstanding user-friendliness, navigation, security and above all the customisation of the welcome screen based on the customer’s preferences, with the possibility for the client to “pin” his favourite accounts or to directly record the contact details for his bank branch.

The application’s feature set

The Windows Phone version of the application offers a simple design combining functionality and ease of use. Just like the Iphone® version, the Windows Phone application features a sleek design with easy-to-use features. It covers all the basics, i.e. the following key banking functions:

  • Real-time consultation and management of bank accounts
  • The launching of bank transfers
  • Tracking a stock portfolio with a breakdown by stock category (shares, bonds, mutual funds…)
  • Consultation of any loans held (property, consumer credit)
  • Consultation of any insurance policies held (vehicle, home, legal protection, etc.)
  • Secure messaging service to communicate with the client’s adviser or the branch
  • Direct line to the adviser or the branch
  • Sending of bank account details by e-mail
  •  The geolocation of the nearest Caisse d’Epargne branches and ATMs
  • Useful assistance telephone numbers and information to block transactions.
