Backelite develops SNCF’s TER Mobile app for Blackberry

PARIS, France — SNCF has called on the know-how of Backelite, which has solid experience in the transport sector, to design and develop its TER Mobile app for the Blackberry platform.
Backelite is supporting SNCF in its mobile strategy, which aims to reach as many mobile Internet users as possible and to make travel easier for all of its passengers. The Agency has developed an app based on geolocation which offers an optimised interface that lets users have direct and real-time access to traffic information and to make one-click searches.
The TER Mobile app for BlackBerry integrates two new features which let users know:
- times and platforms of next departures and arrivals in the station of one’s choice, in real time;
- connections with the next departures and arrivals for each station on one’s route.
“Since 2006, Backelite has been developing considerable expertise in the transport sector by creating several multi-platform mobile apps and sites for SNCF, including Voyages-SNCF.com, Eurostar, TGV-Europe.
